Due to unforeseen circumstances, the venue for Declaration 2017 has been changed to Surgeons' Hall in Edinburgh. The only exception to this is TYCI @ Declaration, which will take place in the Main Hall at Summerhall. You can find up to date details for all events on our listings page, and information about how to get to Surgeons' Hall here.
DECLARATION will take place at Surgeons' Hall and Summerhall in Edinburgh from 2-3 March 2017. The festival is the result of a unique partnership between the Mental Health Foundation, the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE), NHS Health Scotland, NHS Lothian, the Centre for Health Policy at the University of Strathclyde and the Scottish Recovery Network.
The organisations behind Declaration have come together as part of Scotland’s National Action Plan on Human Rights (SNAP), and the programme is based around the SNAP themes of Better Culture, Better Lives and Better World. The festival is continuing to explore the First Minister’s vow to ‘do even more even better on incorporating human rights in Scotland’, and is part of an on-going commitment to the right to health and social care in Scotland.
